Thomaston – Mrs. Gail B. (Walbridge) Jones, 78, of Thomaston, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Mr. Donald Jones. She is predeceased by her brother, Dick Walbridge, as well as her son, Kurt Jones.

Gail was born on July 17, 1935 in Endicott, NY, daughter of the late Delmar and Audrey Walbridge. Gail had a passion for photography. She retired after over 30 years from CPI Corporation in Thomaston, formally Nimslo and Eastern photo, as a photographer and in the office. Gail also loved country music, tag sales, all animals, especially her grand-dogs, Mindy and Troyer. She was also a proud former Glider Pilot.

Gail is survived by her daughter, Valerie (Wehrle) Jones, of Thomaston; a son, Dane Miller and his wife Roseanne of Phoenix, NY; a sister Sue Monico of Binghamton, NY; several nieces and nephews; as well as a great-niece and nephew. She had many dear friends, especially Carol Crean and Annette Paquet.

Family and friends may call on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 5 - 8 pm, with services being held at 7:30 pm at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to me made in Gail’s name to The Diabetes Association of America, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311 or any Animal Rescue Foundation.
