Plymouth – Mrs. Jeannette M. (Couture) Zappone, 69, died Saturday, April 12, at her home. She was the wife of Joseph M. Zappone.
Mrs. Zappone was born October 22, 1944 in Bristol, daughter of the late Adelmore and Fernande (Bernier) Couture. Raised in Bristol she attended local schools. In 1974 the family moved to Plymouth. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church.
In addition to her husband of 45 years she is survived by two sons, Marc J. Zappone and his wife Rebecca of Plymouth and Michael J. Zappone and his wife Diane of Plymouth; three brothers, Henry Couture and his wife Judy of Bristol, Gerard Couture and his wife Mary Lou of Bristol and Leon Couture and his wife Sally of Plainfield; two sisters, Yvette Simard and her husband Raymond of Bristol and Alice Szyszkowski and her husband Henry of Bristol; her grandchildren, Dominic, Riley, Jacob, Nicholas, Zoe and Bella; her sister-in-law, Barbara Couture of Bristol; her aunt Jean Couture of Bristol and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Paul Couture.
The family would like to offer special thanks to Ashley McKenna and Michelle Mendez for the wonderful care they provided to Jeannette.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 15, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday morning at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery.
