Thomaston- Mr. Robert J. “Bob” Scully, 58, died Saturday morning, April 5, at the Waterbury Hospital.

Bob was born July 7, 1955 in Waterbury, son of Joan M. (Knapp) Scully of Thomaston and the late Roger A. Scully, Sr. Raised in Thomaston, Bob had attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. Throughout his life Bob had a passion for music. He was an accomplished saxophone and keyboard player and had played with many local bands including Pieces of Time. What brought him the most joy musically was composing; he has composed many songs and was ready to have enough original music for a CD.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor and the joy he found in making people laugh.

In addition to his mother he is survived by two sons, Joshua J. Scully and Shane A. Scully, both of Terryville, one brother, Roger A. Scully, Jr of Thomaston; one sister, Kathleen M. Blanchette of Torrington; his former wife and friend Nadine L. Scully of Terryville; two nephews and one niece. He was predeceased by his niece Ashley Kozlosky.

Arrangements: Family and friends may call at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. in Thomaston on Tuesday, April 8, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 P.M.
