Thomaston – Francis R. Gerdauskas, 60, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday morning, April 18. He was the husband of Geraldine (Maslak) Gerdauskas.

Francis was born June 20, 1956 in Waterbury, son of the late Walter and Eileen M. (Willefsky) Gerdauskas, where he grew up and attended school. He moved to Thomaston in 1982.

He was a lifelong employee of Whyco Technologies until his retirement in 2012 where he worked as a Chemical Maintenance Lead Man. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed riding whenever he could. He was a good man and if you were a part of his life, you were lucky.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Brandon Gerdauskas of Ridgewood, NY; one daughter, Shannon Gerdauskas and her spouse, Nancee of Tampa, FL; one brother, Walter Gerdauskas of Waterbury and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Carol Telesca and her husband Thomas, his sister-in-law, Sheila Gerdauskas and his brother-in-law Kevin Maslak. He also leaves behind the many friends he made throughout his life.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 24, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Cemetery..
