Loved his family and his dogs.

TERRYVILLE, CT- Kevin Thomas Ball, husband of the late Daphne (Bishop) Ball who recently passed in February of 2023, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford at the age of 77. 

Born in Westport, CT on April 26, 1946, he was the son of the late Thomas and Marguerite (Feeney) Ball. Kevin proudly served in the US Navy. Kevin worked his way up from a lineman to management at SNET and retired after 30 years. Later in life, he drove disabled children to school in Prospect. He’d only retired less than two months prior to his death.

Kevin was a terrific father, he helped coach his children’s baseball teams, took them skiing, he snored through many a chorus concert, and he never missed an opportunity to do donuts in the snow despite teaching drivers-ed for years. Kevin was a lover of dogs and was never without one. He was caught many times singing to, making bacon and eggs for, and even allowed his golden retriever to ride shotgun while family sat in back. Kevins current fur child Nutmeg is already missing him deeply.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Jodi Trottier and husband Brian of Bristol, Megan Greene and husband Kevin of Thomaston and Colin Ball of Terryville. He had three human grandchildren Rachel, Garrett, and Kamden as well as three fur grandchildren including Thor, Lincoln, and Tater. Kevin also is survived by his loving sister Nancy and husband Robert Davis of New Milford, as well as five nieces and nephews. 

Kevin will be remembered as the best husband, daddy, and brother anyone could ever wish for.
