Thomaston - Mrs. Agnes G. (Carey) Borowy, 85, died Sunday, July 21, at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Stanley Borowy and the daughter of the late Melvin F. Carey and the late Sarah (Margraff) Carey Hubbard. Mrs. Borowy was born May 27, 1928 in Winsted. She attended Gilbert High School, was a member of Eagle Rock Church and the Thomaston Ladies Choral Club. Mrs. Borowy was an avid reader - her favorite place was the Thomaston Public Library, she also loved music and cats. She is survived by one son, Vance Borowy of Battleground, WA; two daughters, Pamela Donaldson and son-in-law David Donaldson of Pensacola, FL and Patti-Kay Axelby and son-in-law David Axelby of Fishkill, NY; two grandsons, Don-Michael Hart of Dothan, AL and Nicholas Borowy of Torrington; one great-granddaughter, Zoe Hart of Dothan, AL; three sisters, Kathleen Kantor of Norfolk, Eileen Lawrence of Torrington and Marlene Gabriel of Naugatuck; one brother, Frederick Carey of Naugatuck and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements: A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 3, at the Plymouth Congregational Church, 10 Park St. Plymouth. Burial will be private.
