High Springs, FL Agnes L. (Nardella) (Vanasse) Dudonis, 69, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. She was the wife of the late Michael Dudonis. Agnes was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on December 13, 1955, daughter of the late Francis and Lucy (Buonocore) Nardella. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1973 and went on to work for Tech Systems, Haestad Methods Inc., and finally Ward Leonard Electric Co. in Thomaston, CT. She then retired to help take care of her 2 grandchildren. She loved to listen to rock music and attend concerts; she was an avid movie watcher with Mel Brooks movies being her favorites; she loved attending car shows, flea markets, festivals, and was always up for an adventure. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Agnes leaves behind her son, Thomas Vanasse, and his wife, Marie, of Gainesville, FL; her daughter, Michelle Vanasse, and her partner, Brett Bauer, of High Springs, FL; brothers, Joseph Nardella of Oakville, CT; and Francis Nardella Jr. and his wife Phyllis Nardella of Thomaston, CT; as well as her grandchildren (Xavier and Eva Vanasse), nephews and niece, aunts and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston. A funeral home service will be held on Saturday. February 15 at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends may gather from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charities Agnes supported: St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), and Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
