Terryville - Mr. Albert E. Perkins, Sr., 85, of Terryville, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the loving husband of Mrs. Betty Jane (Brawn) Perkins for 67 years.
Albert was born on June 4, 1928 in Dover - Foxcroft, ME, son of the late Silas B. and Beatrice (Dow) Perkins. Growing up in Maine, he attended local schools and graduated from Foxcroft Academy before moving to Connecticut. He worked for the Town of Thomaston School System retiring in 1993 after many years of service. Albert was devoted to Jehovah and a longtime member of the Plymouth Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses. He also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and the time he was able to spend with his family.
Besides his wife, Albert is survived by a son, Albert E. Perkins, Jr., and his wife, Ginny, of Plymouth; two daughters, Linda Famiglietti, of Wolcott, and Susan Dobler and her husband, Louis, of Naugatuck; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, at 2:00 pm at the Plymouth Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 526 Main St. Plymouth, CT 06782. Burial is private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be made in Alberts name to the Kingdom Hall Building Fund, 526 Main St. Plymouth, CT 06782.
