Thomaston Alfred Paul Krasnowski, 89, of Thomaston, passed away on January 29, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. He was the husband of Joan (Welton) Krasnowski. Alfred was born on January 26, 1931, son of the late John and Martha (Bartoseinski) Krasnowski. He attended the Thomaston School system. Alfred was a skilled carpenter, learning his trade from William Yoos and ran a carpentry business with his father in law, Carlos Welton for a number of years. Al was an avid Brooklyn Dodgers, New England Patriots, and UConn Womans Basketball fan. He will be loved and missed by all. Besides his wife, he leaves behind three sons, John and his wife Krissy, David and his wife Antoinette, and Bill and his wife Liz; his niece Debra Melvin; seven grandchildren, and two step grandkids. He was predeceased by 12 siblings, and his good friend Tony Lombardi. Family and friends may call on Saturday, February 8, 2020, from 11:00 A.M. to Noon at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St. Thomaston. A service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Burial will be held privately.
