Alice Ruth Ives Life long Thomaston resident. THOMASTON Alice R. (Williams) Ives, 82, of Babbitt Rd., died at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Saturday, June 6, 2009, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Clifford O. Ives. Alice was born September 30, 1926, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Plesent and Beatrice (Bright) Williams. Alice retired from Seth Thomas Clock after working there for many years. She attended the Plymouth Congregational Church. She also had a passion for playing golf, bingo and going camping. She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Weeks and her husband Richard of Thomaston, Nephews, Donald Weeks and Richard Weeks Jr. and his wife Diane all of Thomaston, Thomas Weeks of New Hampshire, a Godson David Axelby and his wife Patti of New York and a brother-in-law, Edwin Ives and his wife Dottie of Terryville. Arrangements: A funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 9, 2009 directly at the Plymouth Congregational Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will Follow in Hillside Cemetery of Thomaston.There will be no calling hours.
