Thomaston Mr. Allan R. Kennedy, 75, passed away on Thursday evening, September 26, at his home. He was the husband of the late Jill (McMahon) Kennedy. Allan was born July 15, 1949, in Waterbury, son of the late Kenneth and Ellen (Larson) Kennedy. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Wilby High School and spent his days playing basketball. He retired from the United States Postal Service where he worked as a letter carrier for many years. He will be remembered as an avid Yankee fan. The Game Show Network was always on while he sat and did the daily crossword puzzle. He loved his family more than anything He is survived by his son, Patrick A. Kennedy of Thomaston and his "second son" Steve Stengal; his daughter, Megan L. Giusto and her wife Melissa of Waterbury; his sister-in-law, Judith Kennedy of Berlin; two grandchildren, Liam and Callan and one nephew, Mitch Kennedy and his wife, Dina. A memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 20, at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church 159 East Main St. Meriden 06450. Burial is private.
