Plymouth - Alvah Hamilton, 84, passed away at home on Sunday, March 12, 2017. He was the loving husband of Arliene (White) Hamilton. Al was born in Sherman Mills, Maine on January 31, 1933, son of Raymond E. Hamilton and Edith Joy. Al was employed at Pratt & Whitney for 39 years. He was a member of the Prospect Congregational Church. Al leaves his wife, Arliene, 4 children, Denise Hamilton Cote, and her husband, Art; Deborah Hamilton Doody, and husband, Brian; Darlene Hamilton Reynolds, and her husband, Reed; and Dean Hamilton, and his wife, Miriam; his sister, Coleen Brewer; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 6 step children, Donna Hansen, and her husband, Rick; Debbie Hebert, and her husband, Ben; John Dovitski, Jr., and his wife, Linda; Randy Dovitski, and his wife, Sharon; Joel Dovitski, and his wife, Liz; and Lynne Dovitski; 13 step grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 16 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston. A funeral home service will be held at 6 p.m. Burial will be held privately.
