Thomaston- Anne T. Lavergne, 56, passed away peacefully at Valerie Manor in Torrington on Sunday evening, March 8, surrounded by her family after a long battle with Alzheimers disease.
Anne was born on October 22, 1958 in Waterbury, daughter of Mary (Zappone) (Lavergne) Bouffard of Plymouth and the late Jacques A. Lavergne. Anne was a graduate of Watertown High School, class of 1976. She received an Associate Degree from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelors Degree from Regis College in Weston, MA in 1980. She was a member of Pi Gamma Mu, the National Honor Society for Social Services.
Before her illness, Anne was employed as a Food Service Director at colleges in MA and CT. Anne was a member of St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. She lived a life of caring and sharing. Anne will be remembered for her love of gardening, flowers, music and attending her son Adams soccer games. Most of all she loved her family.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her son, Adam DeNapoli of Thomaston; her brother, Ernest Lavergne and his wife Karen of Farmington; her sister-in-law, Kim Lavergne of Thomaston; her nieces, Morgan Graham, Alexandra Lavergne and Alexis Lavergne; her step-father, Charles Bouffard of Plymouth; her step-brothers, David and Alan Bouffard; her step-sisters, Susan, Charlene and Janet all of Vermont; her special friend, Paul Consoli of MA and many aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father she was predeceased by her sister Jeanne Graham and brother, John Lavergne.
Dearest Anne, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 13, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 14, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. Burial will be private.
