Waterbury - Barbara Sokolowski, 66, died suddenly on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Waterbury. Barbara was born in Waterbury on August 2, 1951, daughter of the late Andrzej and Zofia (Synowiec) Sokolowski,. She attended Thomaston Schools and graduatedfrom Thomaston High School. She will bemissed by all whoknew her. We will always remember her quiet smile. Barbara is survived by her daughter Carey Sokolowski: two sisters, Wanda Hussey and her husband John of Bristol, and Sophie Besse and her husband Stephen of Watertown; her nieces and nephews, Michael Hussey and his wife Marybeth of Oconomowoc, WI, Jodi Tufano, Teresa Russo, and Jeremy Sokolowski; her great-nieces and nephew, Logan, Mariah, and Melina, Anna Hussey, Charles Hussey and Juliet Hussey; her friend Kevin Gelinas; and several friends and relatives. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Zdzislaw Sokolowski and her nephew James Hussey.
