Mrs. Beverly E. (Samoska) Furs Thomaston - Beverly E. (Samoska) Furs, 64, of Laurel Dr., died April 29,2010 with her family at her side, after a battle with cancer. She was the wife to Robert V. Furs for thirty-eight years. Beverly was born January 16, 1945, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph J. and Constance (Bridzius) Samoska Sr. She attended schools in Waterbury before moving to Thomaston. Beverly was a long time communicant at St. Thomas Church and will be remembered for her time spent showing love to her family, vacationing with her husband Robert and lived to care for and play with her grandchildren. Along with her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Michele Sovia and her husband Jason of Torrington, a son, Anthony V. Furs of Thomaston, a brother, Joseph J. Samoska Jr. of New Milford, two grandchildren, Eric and Kaitlyn Sovia, three nephews and a niece. ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Lyons Funeral Home 46 High Street, Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church of Thomaston. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
