Obituary

Thomaston - Bou Thammathino, 73, of Thomaston, CT passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2022. Born September 2, 1948 in Savanahket, Laos. Bou received his education traveling back and forth to Thailand, learning to cut hair at the age of 16, then learning how to paint cars at the age of 18. He worked at the Ford Motor Company & played on the companys football (soccer) team. Bou would also do long distance cycling as a sport. He eventually settled in Thailand, then made the brave decision, after living in a refugee camp for almost 3 years, to bring his family to the United States in 1980. He worked all his life until retirement as an auto body technician, he was the hardest worker you would ever meet. Bou loved fishing, it was one of his favorite past times. He loved his grandchildren more than anything in the world. Bou is survived by his 5 children, Noungning Rogozinski & her husband Ryan, Anouphab Thammathino, Yachai Reilly, Anousone Thammathino & Maria Thammathino; 9 grandchildren, Aunchlee, Hunter, Aydan, Bradley, Ivan, Ty, Kendra, Gabe along with his sisters & brother; many nephews & nieces. A private Buddhist cremation will take place on Saturday, February 5, 2022; a ceremony & celebration of Bous life will be held after at the Buddha Ariyamettaram Temple, 140 East St, Morris, CT 06763 starting at 10:00am.
