Thomaston Carol A. Geddes, 77, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence F. Geddes, of 57 years. Carol was born in Waterbury on July 22, 1942, to the late Charles and Mary (Shypinka) VanBuren. She graduated from Thomaston High in 1960. She worked as a secretary for various companies; owned her own typing business, which she ran from home; and was the Executive Director for Green Manor Housing Authority. Carol had a love for crafts; she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and made hats for the newborns at St. Marys Hospital. Carol was once a Yankees fan before switching to the Red Sox. Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Lawrence Geddes; her son, Steven L. Geddes, and his wife, Marcia, of Northfield; her daughter, Lori J. Geddes, of Plymouth; and her grandsons, Kyle Lukas, and Christopher Geddes. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 1 East Main St., Thomaston.
