Thomaston Mrs. Christine (Warner) Banks, 82, passed away on Monday, December 20, at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Raymond E. Woods, Sr and Robert Banks. Christine was born April 24, 1939 in Torrington, daughter of the late Lewis P. and Charlotte (Salmon) Warner, Sr. Raised in Thomaston she attended local schools and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. She had been employed for many years as a secretary in the guidance department of Thomaston High School. She will be remembered for her love of horses and her active involvement as a 4-H horse leader and a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. The family greatly appreciates her care givers and all the love that was given to her. She is survived by her children, Raymond Ernest Woods, Jr, Louanne Forrester and David L. Woods; her sister, Allie Bassett and six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom she adored. She was predeceased by her siblings, Shirley Hazelton, Mildred Edwards, Sally Anne Gladdyck, Robert A. Warner, Sr and Lewis P. Warner, Jr. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 29, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. Burial in West cemetery will be private.
