Thomaston - Mr. Clemens Ross, 90, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 10, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Ele Ross for 64 years, who took care of him with love and compassion.
Clemens was born in Oberlahr, Germany on June 12, 1925, son of the late Peter and Maria Anna Ross. He attended Pottsdam Military Academy and was a German veteran of WWII. He immigrated to the United States in 1951.
Clemens was a machinist at Iseli Company in Terryville for many years. He will be remembered as a loving, outgoing man, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved babysitting for his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Jeffrey Ross and his wife Susan of Roswell, GA; his daughter, Lori Mains and her husband Peter of Avon and four grandchildren, Lindsay Ross, Jon Ross, Chris Ross and Madison Mains.
The family would like to thank the caregivers from Hartford Healthcare at Home and Compassionate Companions for the care they gave to Clemens.
Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 14, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. Burial will be private.
