Thomaston With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Daniel Beardsworth (1970 2021). Dan was born in St. Vincents Hospital in Bridgeport. The family then settled in Trumbull where Dan attended school. He graduated from Trumbull High School and at that time the family relocated to Southbury. Dan worked for the Parks and Recreation Dept. in Southbury for a few years before taking employment with the MacKenzie family for 29 years. Dan liked music, loved the outdoors and traveled when possible. Dan was an exceptional fly fisherman. One of the greatest events of his life was becoming a Dad. Dan was predeceased by his father, Raymond F. Beardsworth, Jr. He is survived by the love of his life Melissa McGoldrick and their 13 year old son, Kevin Beardsworth. He is also survived by his mother, Sharon (Moore) Beardsworth of Southbury; his two older brothers, Keith Beardsworth of PA and James Beardsworth of DE; his God Parents, Robert and Nancy Beardsworth of Trumbull; Aunts and Uncles, Timothy Moore and Jane Lucas of Greenville, SC; Arline Moore, widow of Charles L. Moore of Marietta, GA, Thomas and Mary Ellen Zambardo of Fairfield, Charles and Deborah Ehrentraut of Beacon Falls, Barry Turlish, widower of Nancy Beardsworth Turlish of Seymour, Joseph and Patricia Walsh of Seymour as well as many cousins. All who knew Dan were aware of his private nature. He was deep and sincere. Dans quick wit and sense of humor along with his compassion and tender heart make him unforgettable.
