Waterbury- David Dean Montambault, 39, of Griggs Street, passed away Saturday at St. Marys Hospital as the result of a tragic accident.
David was born on May 4, 1972 in Waterbury son of Elizabeth (Wendel) and the late Donald Montambault Sr. He graduated from Litchfield High School in 1991. He was a member of the Covenant Church of Thomaston and a former member of the Watertown Area Association for Special Citizens. David will be remembered for his talent of gardening and lawn care, which he enjoyed doing, being a simple man with a simple life and his large heart of caring and helping others. David liked to work on cars and enjoyed playing pool.
David lives in others as he donated his heart and two kidneys on Saturday as the last gift he could give.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth, three sisters, Donna Montambault of Waterbury, Cherie Sturges of Thomaston, Liz Zehm of Torrington, a brother Donald Jr. and his wife Geralyn Montambault of Oakville, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased recently by his father. Also, David was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Lester and Pauline Montambault and maternal grandparents, Mollie K. and David Fortuna.
Arrangements: A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 P.M. at the Covenant Church of Thomaston, 64 Grove Street Thomaston, CT 06787. Memorial contributions may be made to the Covenant Church of Thomaston.
