Thomaston – Debbie (Barber) Embelton, 65, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. She was the wife of Grafton Embelton.

Debbie was born in Bristol on November 4, 1959, daughter of the late Sheldon and Helen (Merrill) Barber. She enjoyed playing cribbage, set back, going to fairs with family and trips to the casino to play bingo.

Including her husband, Grafton, Debbie is survived by her brother, Michael Barber, and his wife, Cindy Charlesworth; stepsons, Keith (Brogan) Embelton; and Shawn (Vanessa) Embelton; grandchildren, Caleb and Jacob; nephews, Macquire Barber, Matthew Barber, and David McGovern; niece, Kelly McGovern Patrick, and husband, John; sister-in-law, Cynthia (Karl) Knightly, and Monique Embelton; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Including her parents, Debbie was predeceased by her brother, Scott; and her parents-in-law.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston. A funeral home service will be held at 12:00 p.m., followed by burial in Peacedale Cemetery, Bristol.
