Obituary

Thomaston - Mrs. Deborah Lynne (Rieley) Harper, 55, of Thomaston, passed away on Saturday morning, July 13, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the widow of Mr. Ray Harper. Deborah was born on December 30, 1957 in Waterbury, daughter of Thomas and Joan (Grahoski) Rieley of Thomaston. Growing up in Thomaston, she attended local school and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. Deborah served honorably in the Army National Guard; it is also where she met her late, loving husband, Ray. Deborah loved going to the library, reading and spending time with her family. Besides her parents, Deborah is survived by four brothers, John Rieley, of Thomaston, Joseph Rieley of Terryville, Dennis Rieley and Daniel Rieley, both of Thomaston; four sisters, Joan Brown, of Bristol, Kathleen Hanak, of Milford, PA., Patricia Rieley, of Waterville, and Amy Philips, of Watertown; 27 nieces and nephews, and eight great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Harper; and one brother, Thomas Rieley, Jr. Arrangements: A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 18, at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
