Thomaston- Mr. Donald E. Norton, Sr., 58, died Wednesday, January 2 at the Waterbury Hospital. Mr. Norton was born December 14, 1949 in Torrington son of Mary E. (Porter) Norton of Thomaston and the late Delbert E. Norton. Raised in Thomaston he had attended Thomaston High School. He was along time resident of Long Island, NY and Elizabeth, NJ and had been self employed as a truck driver. He enjoyed country music, Rocky and western movies and loved to make people laugh. In addition to his mother he is survived by three sons, SSG Daniel E. Norton of NC, Sgt. Donald E. Norton, Jr and Jonathan E. Norton both of Long Island, NY; one sister, Dorene E. Norton of Thomaston; three grandchildren and two nieces. Arrangements: A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. Burial will be private in the spring. Calling hours are Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
