Thomaston- Donald F. Testa, Sr., 81, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit in St. Marys Hospital. Donald was born in Waterbury, on February 12, 1937, to the late Francis J. Testa and Marion (Zwick) Orsini. He worked for Metallon in Thomaston as a machine operator for many years. He was an avid motorcycle rider and loved cars and motorsports. Donald is survived by his children, Kimberly A. Ayoub, and her husband, Paul, of Watertown; Donald F. Testa, Jr., of Thomaston; and Jean Marie Testa, of Thomaston; his stepdaughters, Cheryl T. Famiglietti, and her husband, Jonathan, of Thomaston; and Christine Bregonzio, and her husband, Philip, of Thomaston; his brother, Robert Andrus, of Thomaston and sisters Joyce Turney and Christine Crowley; his grandchildren, Alex, Peter, James, Rebecca, Colin, and Andrew and stepgrandchildren William, Jonathan, and Jenny. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, May 9 from 4 to 5 p.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston. A funeral home service will follow at 5 p.m. Burial will be held privately.
