Obituary

Dora Diana (Gambucci) Wilcox, 91 "loving" mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on July 29, 2026 after a long illness. Dora was born on October 19, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Agostine (Minelli) Gambucci. She was married to the late John (Jack) Wilcox for 57 years. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and was employed at Whyco Chromium for 25 years before retiring in 2002.

Mom loved to read, knit, crochet and enjoyed going to concerts and operas. She was also a devoted animal lover, especially when it came to her dogs, whose companionship brought her endless happiness.

She is survived by her 5 children, Susan Bordner (Ted), Judy Walker, Lisa Rogers (Bobby), Steven Wilcox (Michelle), Melissa Armbruster (Todd), 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a baby boy due in December. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mom is preceded in death by her sister Tina and brother John Gambucci whom she loved dearly.

We wish to thank her caregivers - Sara, Robert, Cristal, Iesha, Layza and Debbie as well as her hospice nurses Becca and Malisa. Your dedication to our mom's wellbeing will forever be appreciated. We would also like to thank Jean from St Maximillion Kolbe Church for her spirituality and friendship.

As mom wished, a special thank you to her treasured friend Joyce, for a lifetime of unwavering friendship, love and support. In mom's own words: "Thanks for the memories."
