Doris M. Fenn, of Norwich and Thomaston, 87, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Donald W. Fenn Sr.

Doris was born in Torrington on March 9, 1938, daughter of the late Duane and Emma (Gaylord) Stone. A long-time resident of Thomaston, Doris attended local schools. She proudly ran her hair dressing business from home, where loyal clients came for not only a haircut, but for the care she provided.

Doris was known for her cooking and baking, with a kitchen that never closed and a heart that welcomed everyone in with her comfort and hospitality.

Doris leaves behind her son, Donald W. Fenn Jr. of Morris; her siblings, Harry Stone of Thomaston, and Nancy Stone Burton of AZ; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends.

Including her husband and parents, Doris was predeceased by her sons, Duane Fenn and Daniel Fenn; and her granddaughters, Harmony (Fenn) Farrell and Candi Fenn.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 18 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. A funeral home service will be held at 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
