THOMASTON- Earl C. Welton Jr., 71, of Old Northfield Rd. died Friday, May 22, 2009, at the Abbott Terrace Health Center, in Waterbury. He was the husband to Gisele M. (MSadoques) Welton.
Earl was born May 12, 1938 in Waterbury, son to the late Earl C. and Bertha (Morgan) Welton Sr. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Buddy was a member of the First Congregational Church of Thomaston and was an avid Red Sox fan. Earl was a machine operator and retired from Ferre Form Metals in Oakville.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Paul C. Welton of Thomaston, a, daughter, Lisa M. Berent of Boca Raton, FL, three brothers, Thomas Welton of Wolcott, Allen Welton of Morris, David Welton of Thomaston, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held, Tuesday, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston. A graveside service will be at the State Veteran Cemetery in Middletown, CT, at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday followed by a Celebration of Earls life at 12:00 noon at the First Congregational Church of Thomaston.
