Edmund J. Cwick passed away peacefully with his long-time friend Steve Knightly and his wife Sherri by his side on February 7, 2026, at Vitas Center in St Mary’s Hospital.

He was born in Thomaston June 20, 1935, and was the son of the late Albin and Jennie (Luboyeski) Cwick.

Raised in Thomaston, he worked 30 years for the CT Department of Motor Vehicle and had advanced to a Sargent.

He was an avid Red Sox, UCONN Men and Women Basketball fan as well as the Hartford Whalers Hockey Team.

He enjoyed playing golf and was a 50 year member of the Pequabuck Golf Club where he also enjoyed playing cards with his fellow members.

He served in the US Armed Forces.

Ed was predeceased by his sister, Helen Kazmierski, his brother, Joseph Cwick, and recently, his brother, Raymond Cwick.

A mass will be held at St. Thomas Church, 1 East Main St, Thomaston, CT on Saturday February 21, 2026 at 10:00 am.

There are no calling hours and burial will be private at a later date.
