Torrington Mrs. Elaine (Mactutis) Iovine, 87, formerly of Northfield, passed away on Friday, February 26, at her home. She was the widow of Anthony J. Iovine, Sr. Elaine was born March 21, 1933 in Slatington, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John J. and Helen (Ulbinski) Mactutis. She had been employed for many years at Bradlees and will be remembered for her love of bingo, trips to the casino and being a fan of the New York Mets. She is survived by her children, Peter Iovine of Hanoi, Vietnam, Anthony Iovine, Jr, and Richard Iovine and Laraine Iovine, all of Torrington; her granddaughter, Helena Iovine and her great grandson, Mason Percivalle. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Paul and two sisters, Beatrice Bartoleti and June Davino. Walk through calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 2, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Masks are required and all social distancing guidelines will be enforced.
