Thomaston- Miss Eleanor Marie Conway died Tuesday, March 10 at the Waterbury Hospital. She was born in Thomaston daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mary (OBrien) Conway. Raised in Thomaston she was a graduate of Thomaston High School and Saint Joseph College in West Hartford and had attended Post College in Waterbury. She was an employee of Anaconda American Brass and retired from Atlantic Richfield (ARCO). She enjoyed traveling and did so extensively in her younger years. She was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Thomaston Public Library, the Thomaston Historical Society, Animal Rescue Foundation and had volunteered at the Library Bargain Shop. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Thomas Church. She is survived by many cousins including, Elizabeth Della Camera and Mary Harrigan. Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 14 at St. Thomas Church. There are no calling hours. Arrangements by the Lyons Funeral Home of Thomaston.
