It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son, and brother, Erik Davis Miller. Erik died on Friday, September 29th at his home in Torrington, at the age of 42. He passed unexpectedly from a long term medical condition.
Erik was born on September 10, 1981. He graduated from Northwestern Regional #7 high school in 2000. Afterwards, he attended the Hartford Conservatory of Music where he earned a two year certificate in audio engineering & editing. He also attended Naugatuck Valley Community College where he studied Audio and Video production.
He had a gift for dogs taking to him unconditionally, loved creative writing, as well as performing lead vocals & playing guitar in his bands, Golgatha & Summer So Far. While Eriks interests did not always fit the mainstream he sought out like-minded people who always proved to be kind, loving and supportive. He had a deep affinity for B-movies, particularly those of the horror genre. His favorite directors included John Gulager, and John Waters. He enjoyed attending the John Waters Camp held at Camp Escape in Kent, Connecticut.
We, Bruce, Cindy and Evan Miller, will cherish Eriks memory, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Erik impacted many lives and will be deeply missed by them all.
