Obituary

Northfield- Mrs. Eva (Weissheimer) Reitenbach, 83, died Sunday, September 20, at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington. Mrs. Reitenbach was born September 10, 1926 in Golinici, Yugoslavia daughter of the late Jakob and Katarina (Hettich) Weissheimer. Eva immigrated to the United States in 1952 and briefly lived in Vermont before settling in Torrington and then moving to Northfield in 1962. She was a member of the Germania Singing Society in Torrington and had retired from Whyco Chromium in Thomaston. She enjoyed sewing and knitting. She is survived by three sons, Daniel Reitenbach and his wife Noreen V. Grogan of Litchfield, Erich Reitenbach and his wife Jody King of Buxton, ME and Egon H. Reitenbach of Torrington; one brother, Egon Weissheimer of Krottendorf, Austria; one grandson, Andrew G. Reitenbach of Litchfield; one niece and three nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Andreas Reitenbach. Arrangements: A celebration of her life will be held at a date and time to be announced. Burial will be private.
