Mrs. Frances S. (Jillson) Reddick
Bristol Frances S. Reddick, 90, resided at the Countryside Manor Nursing Home in Bristol for the past three years, formerly of Bantam and Thomaston, died Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Bristol Hospital. She was the widow of John G. Reddick Sr., to whom she was devoted.
Mrs. Reddick was born on May 6, 1917, in Old Saybrook, to the late Harold S. and Ruth (Stumpf) Jillson.
She grew up in Thomaston and was a graduate of Thomaston High School. She furthered her education, receiving her Bachelors Degree from the Westminster Choir College in New Jersey. In the late 1930s Frances worked as a Choir Director in Baltimore where she met her husband. She was a long time member of the First Congregational Church of Thomaston.
She is survived by two sons, John G. Reddick Jr. of Burlington, and Ralph H. Reddick and wife Meredith of Michigan, four grandchildren , Chad of Middletown, Hilary, Julia, and Alison all of Michigan. She was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Jillson, and a beloved daughter in law Joanne. Arrangements: A funeral will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston, Calling hours will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
