Thomaston – Grafton L. Embelton, 66, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was the husband of the late Debbie (Barber) Embelton.

Grafton was born on March 16, 1959, in Presque Isle, Maine, son of the late William Thomas and Joan M. (Cahill) Embelton. He worked as an ironworker for many years before his retirement when he worked for Thomaston oil. Grafton loved to golf, fish, spend time with friends and family, he also enjoyed a good game of cornhole. In his younger days, he had a love of dirt bikes and motorcycles.

He leaves behind his two sons Shawn J. Embelton and his fiancé Vanessa, and Keith G. Embelton and his wife Brogan; his two grandchildren, Caleb and Jacob; his sister, Cynthia Knightly, and her husband, Karl; his sister-in-law, Monique Embelton; his father-in-law Wallace Anderson and the mother of his sons, Chris (Anderson) Healy; several nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, great-great nephews, and many beloved friends and extended family.

Including his beloved wife, Debbie, Grafton was predeceased by his siblings William S. Embelton, Sr., Judy Embelton, and Richard L. Embelton, Sr.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 24th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St Thomas Church, 1 E. Main St., Thomaston. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery Thomaston.
