Thomaston – Harriet L. Knox, 86, passed away in the presence of family on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Robert Knox for 69 years.

Harriet was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, on October 27, 1938, daughter of the late Frank and Stella (Dizeweicka) Gangloff. Raised in Thomaston, Harriet was a graduate of Thomaston High School and worked for many years as a cook in Thomaston Public Schools.

Including Harriet's beloved husband, Robert, she leaves behind her children, Robert Knox and his wife, Debbie, of Thomaston; Paul Knox, and his girlfriend, Judy, of Wurtsboro, NY; Daniel Knox, and his wife, Joan; Dana Knox, of Pittsfield, MA; and Sheena Knox, of MA; her sister, Lois Butteri; her goddaughter, Crystal Lambert and her husband, Donald, of Thomaston; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Including her parents, Harriet was predeceased by 3 of her siblings.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 22 at 11 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, Marine St., Thomaston. Please meet directly at the cemetery.
