Thomaston- Mrs. Helen M. (Mezocowski) Luboyeski, 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 29, at Cook-Willow Convalescent Home in Plymouth. She was the widow of Brunic Luboyeski. Mrs. Luboyeski was born June 22, 1913 in Thomaston daughter of the late Francis and Josephine (Rudolf) Miecznikowski. She was a longtime resident of Thomaston and had been a loyal communicant and active supporter of St. Thomas Church. In 1946 she retired from the Seth Thomas Clock Company as the secretary to the superintendent. She enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and UCONN basketball teams. Helen was an active bowler well into her eighties and had been an active volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was very proud of her independence and always loved being with people and interacting socially. She is survived by her son Paul V. Luboyeski of Schaumburg, IL and her daughter Rita L. Whipple of Hackettstown, NJ; six grandchildren, Bret Luboyeski, Dana Luboyeski, Renee Luboyeski, Shawn Foss, Kyle Whipple and Brittany Whipple and one great-granddaughter, Morgan Foss. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank Miecznikowski and Edward Mezocowski and sisters Genevieve Waters and Stasia Klimanowski. Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. from 9:30 A.M. until time to leave for mass at 10:30 A.M.
