Southington Mr. Hugh J. Crean, 89, passed away on Saturday, June 10, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Reardon) Crean.
Hugh was born June 20, 1933 in Bridgeport, son of the late Patrick J. and Katherine Crean. Hugh served honorably in the United States Army. He had been employed at Daves Superette on Willow Street for 30 years and then went on to own Creans Deli in Oakville for twenty years.
He is survived by his children, Karen Alexander, Janice Alexander, Jay Alexander, Patrick Crean and Kathleen Nicholson and her husband Edward; his sister, Nora Patricia Doster of Iowa; his grandson, Ethan Nicholson and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Crean.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 15, at St. Thomas Church in Thomaston at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
