Janet Couch, 64, of Thomaston, passed away Tuesday, September 1. She was the wife of the late Douglas M. Couch. Janet was the daughter of Clifford G. and the late Frances J. (Haywood) Peters. Janet was born in Fort Hood, TX and raised in Southington. She was a true animal lover. Janet and her husband were the owners of Seamless Metal Roofing Company for several decades. Besides her father, Janet is survived by her daughter, Victoria Dumond, and her husband Bertrand Dumond Jr.; her step-daughters, Candace Chenaille, and her husband Laurence; Kelly Bernaitis, and her husband Michael; her step-daughter-in-law, Pamela Couch; her sisters, Maryann Lyles; Elizabeth Franklin, and her husband Jeff; and Penny Fisher, and her husband Walter; her sister-in-law, Linda Peters; her grandchildren, Molly Gravell, and her husband Adam; Elijah Couch; Jacob Dumond; Leah Dumond; and Samuel Dumond; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her step-son Douglas K. Couch; and her brother Clifford V. Peters. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 5 at 11a.m. at the Beacon Baptist Fellowship Church, 200 Elm St. Thomaston. Burial will be held privately.
