Thomaston – Jeffrey R. Smith, 72, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. He was the loving husband of Kim McNellis.

Jeff was born in Torrington, Connecticut on April 27, 1953, to Floyd and Cleo (Allen) Smith. Jeff worked for 32 years for Dymax Corporation in Torrington. Above all, he was a family man who loved his wife and children dearly.

Jeff is survived by his son, Evan Smith; his daughter, Courtney Smith; his siblings, Brenda Letourneau, of Manchester; Sharon Olson, of FL; and Richard Smith of TX; his special niece Kelley Schaefer; his fur-baby, Ellie; and many other beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery, Marine St., Thomaston.

A celebration of Jeff's life to follow at Plymouth Congregational Church, 10 Park St., Plymouth CT.
