THOMASTON Joan (Ryan) LaMay 75, of Stumph Ave. died suddenly, Sunday, October 14, 2007, at Waterbury Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph E. LaMay Jr. Mrs. LaMay was born in Waterbury on December 10, 1931 daughter of the late Francis and Julia (Maxwell) Ryan. She was retired from the Torrington Company as an assembly inspector. She attended Terryville High School and was one of ten children in her family. Most recently she enjoyed spending time in North Carolina at the Outer Banks with her family, she lived to see and love her grandchildren. Joan was a member of St. Thomas Church in Thomaston. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons; Joseph E. LaMay III of Thomaston and Kevin LaMay of Washington, CT; one daughter Kathleen A. Bellemare of Thomaston; three sisters, Ruth Alexander of Falls Village, Pat Roman of Thomaston, Karen Fischer of Thomaston; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters. Arrangements: A Funeral service will be celebrated Thursday, October 18 at 10:00am at Lyons Funeral Home 46 High Street Thomaston.
