Thomaston - John "Corky" Bordner, 72, of Thomaston, passed away Wednesday October 27, 2021 at the Summit of Plantsville. He was the loving husband of 50 years to Alice (Cova) Bordner. John was born on November 10, 1948 in Waterbury, son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Newman) Bordner. John served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed camping, fishing, antique cars, and watching his tapes. He was also a big "history buff and enjoyed art. Besides his wife, Alice, John is survived by two brothers, Ted Bordner and his wife Sue, and Ronnie Bordner and his wife Violet, and one niece, and two nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Mark Bordner. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 3 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow Hillside Cemetery in 'l'homaston. There are no calling hours.
