Waterbury - John W. Hill, 57, of Wakelee Rd., died on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, after a long illness. John was formerly of Thomaston and was a toolmaker at the Stevens Company before becoming disabled. Mr. Hill was born in Kansas City, MO on December 22, 1951 to the late Reno Bryan and Nellie G. (Simmons) Hill. John was an avid reader, when his children were younger enjoyed hiking with them. Family dinners on Sundays were a great pleasure for him and most recently he loved to bake cakes with his granddaughter. John is survived by three sons, Daniel Hill of FLA, Mathew Hill of Waterbury, Sean Hill of Waterbury, a daughter, Gabriel Hill Ruiz of Waterbury, four grandchildren, Destiny, Jordan, Arianna, Nevaehs, the mother of his children and dear friend Laura Ritter. He was predeceased by a grandson Quinton Keller. Arrangements: Friends and family are asked to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Johns Evangelist Church in Watertown on Tuesday, November 3, at 10:00 A.M.
