Thomaston- Mr. John P. Lavergne, 47, died unexpectedly on Monday, June 9, in Thomaston. He was the husband of Kimberly M. (Curry) Lavergne.
John was born August 22, 1966 in Waterbury, son of Maria (Zappone) (Lavergne) Bouffard of Thomaston and the late Jacques A. Lavergne. Raised in Oakville he attended local schools and was a graduate of Watertown High School class of 1984. He was the owner of J. Lavergne Concrete Construction and had been in business for over twenty years. John will be remembered for the pride he showed in his work and how he always strived for perfection and going that extra mile. He was a hard worker who always put other people before himself.
John was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend, who loved his family and pets dearly. He adored his daughter Alexis. John was always the one who would be there to lend that helping hand, looking for nothing in return. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He touched so many peoples lives and will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his loving daughter, Alexis N. Lavergne of Thomaston; his brother, Ernest J. Lavergne and his wife Karen of Farmington; his sister, Anne T. Lavergne of Torrington; his step-father, Charles J. Bouffard; two step-brothers, David and Allan Bouffard; three step-sisters, Susan and Janet Bouffard and Charlene Maille; mother-in-law, Dee Curry, in-laws, John Curry and his wife Kim, Debra Gaudiosi and her husband Jim, Michael Curry Jr. and Bryan Curry; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and his faithful dogs, Buddy and Matthew. He was predeceased by his sister, Jeanne Graham and his father-in-law, Michael Curry, Sr.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 17, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Committal will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
