Thomaston - Mr. Julien J. Pinette, 68, died Monday morning, February 22, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Norma (Cahill) Pinette. Mr. Pinette was born February, 14, 1942 in Fort Kent, Maine son of the late Edward and Laura (Bellanger) Pinette. Julien has been a resident of Thomaston since 1959 and had served honorably in the United States Army, serving one tour of duty in Vietnam. He had been self employed in many occupations, most recently as the founder and former owner of the Thomaston Oil Co. He was a member of the American Legion Clifford R. French Post #22 in Thomaston and was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Michael J. Pinette and his wife Breia of Harwinton and Jason J. Pinette and his wife Amber of Thomaston; one daughter, Michelle R. Marsh and her husband Michael of Thomaston; Eight grandchildren, Kaylin, Lindsay, Tyler, Tayler, Nathan, Nicholas, Alexia and Hailey and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by seven brothers and one sister. Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 25, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be in the spring in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday, February 24, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston.
