Thomaston - Mrs. June (Hanson) Rogers, 86, passed away on Thursday morning, September 8, at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center in Torrington. She was the wife of John E. Rogers. June was born June 12, 1930 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Gilbert and Martha (Siepel) Hanson. Raised in Waterbury she attended local schools and was a graduate of Crosby High School. She had been employed at Eclipse Glass for many years. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Jay G. Rogers and his wife Bonnie of N. Brookfield, MA; three daughters, Judy R. Russell of Gloversville, NY, Janice A. Bianchi and her husband David of Torrington and Jean R. Morton and her husband Robert of Thomaston; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of Litchfield Woods for the care provided to their mother and to Ellie Beardslee for the care she provided to June and to her husband John. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 16, from 3:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Thomaston, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 P.M. at the Covenant Church 64 Grove St. Thomaston. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Junes name to the Thomaston Volunteer Ambulance Corps, 237 South Main St. Thomaston, CT 06787.
