Morris - Justin A. Damiano, 24, of Morris, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at his home. He was the beloved son of Joseph Damiano and Joyce (Piotrowski) Sousa. Justin was born in Waterbury on April 26, 1988. Growing up in Thomaston, he was a graduate of Thomaston High School, class of 2006. After high school, Justin received his Associates Degree in Marine Technology from the New England Institute of Technology in Warwick, RI. Justin was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed boating, biking, hiking and fishing. He loved watching his younger brother, Brian, play basketball and the time he was able to spend with family and friends. He worked as an Operating Engineer at O & G Industries and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 478. Justins unique personality and sense of humor impacted everyone he came in touch with. Besides his parents, he leaves his brother, Brian Sousa of Thomaston; two step brothers, Jayson and Benjamin Rogers; his step father, Mark Sousa of Thomaston; his step mother, Holly Beardslee; his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Dorothy (Brammer) Damiano; his maternal grandparents, Edwin and Clare (Nedderman) Piotrowski; his paternal great-grandmother, Josephine Damiano; his god child, Wade Jablonski, Jr., and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Friday evening, March 8, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. Burial will be held in the spring at Hillside Cemetery.
