Thomaston - Kathleen "Kay" (Daigle) LaFrance, 81, passed away on Monday, January 18, surrounded by her family.
Kathleen was born April 1, 1934 in St. Francis, Maine, daughter of the late Felix and Isabelle (Morin) Daigle. She loved to be around her family and friends and found great joy in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving sweet person who was always doing things for others. Her home was always known as Kays coffee house, the door was always open for her many friends. She enjoyed NASCAR racing, her Christian shows and family gatherings.
She is survived by her four daughters, Susan Devenow and her husband Paul of Thomaston, Marcia Dziedzic and her husband David of Terryville, Betty Byrnes of Thomaston and James Mahon, and Janet Frohloff of Thomaston; her brother, Roger Daigle of Silver Springs, FL; her sister, Annette Powers of Presque Isle, ME; seven grandchildren, Jason Dziedzic of Denver, CO, James Byrnes the 5th of Terryville, Holly Hunt of Harwinton, Karrie Kent, Kenneth Devenow of Harwinton, Jennifer Byrnes of Plymouth and Tyler Frohloff of Thomaston; five great-grandchildren, Kendra, Gabe, Landon, Mckayla and Caleb and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 22, at 10:30 A.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home 46 High St. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made in Kays name to the Thomaston Volunteer Ambulance Assoc. 237 South main St. Thomaston, CT 06787.
