Thomaston - Kenneth Stephen Rayder, 57, of Thomaston, died Saturday, February 1, 2014.

Kenneth was born to the late Nancy Rebeiro Rayder and to Albert Cahill, Mar. 13, 1956, in Danbury, CT. Adopted by Peter Rayder, March 1, 1965. Kenny attended Thomaston High School. He was a machinist by trade, and former owner of K. R. Kenwick, LLC, in Wolcott, CT. Kenny was a Firefighter with the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department, and was a member of the Thomaston Fish and Game Club. He loved motorcycles, fishing, hunting, pool and bowling. Of all of his trophies the one that made him most proud was won by his daughter Nicole in a fishing derby.
Kenny is survived by his daughter Nicole Rayder of Torrington: sisters Cindy Miller of Winsted; two half-brothers Frank Cahill, Jr. of Bristol; David Cahill of Thomaston, and five half-sisters, Pamela Rayder, of Terryville; Doris Cahill of Torrington; Tanya Rayder, of Terryville; Georgyann Henning of Danbury; and Rhonda Smith of Thomaston. He is predeceased by his sister Karen Rayder.
Calling hours will be on Friday, February 7th, between 6:00 and 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High St., Thomaston. A sort service will be held at 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Stroke Association.
