Mr. Kenneth H. Spooner Sr. Thomaston- Mr. Kenneth H. Spooner Sr. 71, of Meadow Street died Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Ida M. (Gregory) Spooner. Mr. Spooner was born June 28, 1935 in Keeseville, NY son of the late Alex and Cecilia Spooner. He was retired from the Hubbard Hall Chemical Co. in Waterbury after 35 years of employment as a truck driver and was an Army Veteran of The Korean War. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Kenneth H. Spooner Jr. of Thomaston; a daughter Lorie Bates of Stafford Springs; a sister, Marge Nail of Dayton, Ohio; two granddaughters, Kelli Cyr of Manchester and Stephanie Bates of Stafford Springs; a grandson, Kevin Robert of Wolcott and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements: A prayer service will be held on Tuesday evening at 8:00 P.M. at the Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street in Thomaston. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
